Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a recently discovered coronavirus. Most people who contract COVID-19 have mild to moderate symptoms and recover without needing special treatment.

How it is spread?

The virus that causes COVID-19 is transmitted mainly through the droplets that are generated when an infected person coughs, sneezes or exhales. These droplets are too heavy to be suspended in the air and quickly settle on floors or surfaces.

Anyone can be infected by inhaling the virus if they are in close proximity to someone with COVID-19 or touch a contaminated surface and then the eyes, nose or mouth.
